Mount the clamp to a light stand and attached a Varos umbrella adapter. Use the clamp to hold an 8 AA hot shoe flash battery pack or other accessories needed near your flash.

Or, improvise: Use the clamp to hold a backdrop in place – anywhere you need something held.
